Some instructors have an educational background and will take care of the technical and formal aspects of your Spanish language training: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation...
Other instructors have a business or cultural background and will take care of the activities and informal aspects of the Spanish language.
Their experience in various aspects of life will allow you to discuss social, business, legal or political topics in the Spanish language while training your listening and speaking abilities in an 'outside the classroom' setting.
Meet your Spanish teachers
Gina
Has been a Spanish language instructor since our starting days. She has a BA in Education from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and an MA in Accelerated Education Techniques from ITESM University (Tec de Monterrey). Gina is a dual citizen, allowing her to teach Spanish at the ANDERS LANGUAGES® Mexico and Spain residences. Meet Gina
Gloria
Has a BA in Humanities from Pablo de Olavide University (Sevilla), an MA in Applied Linguistics for Spanish Language Learners from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (Madrid), and postgraduate studies in Cross-Cultural awareness. Gloria teaches at ANDERS LANGUAGES® Spain and speaks Spanish, Italian and English
Raul
Got a law degree in his native Peru, but after a few years as a lawyer, decided to focus on music and applied linguistics. Besides, he has an MA in Translation from Universidad Internacional and a lifelong commitment to perfecting his English. Raul teaches at the ANDERS LANGUAGES® Mexico residence, where he is also in charge of its daily operation.
Edwin
Edwin became a Spain resident in 2009 and a Spanish citizen a few years later. He studied Spanish and Spanish Literature at La Universidad de Antioquia in his native Colombia. Due to his passion for Spanish, Edwin is our specialist in the art of teaching. He has been a Spanish language teacher at Anders Languages since 2015.
Claudia
With an MA in Spanish as a second language from Universidad Internacional, Spanish has (almost) no secrets for her. Claudia has been teaching at the ANDERS LANGUAGES® Mexico residence since 2003.
Esther
Although Esther studied Business Administration, she became a Spanish teacher a long time ago. After years of training and experience as a Spanish teacher, she joined ANDERS LANGUAGES® MEXICO in 2003. Besides an excellent teacher, she is also an excellent cook and the guide for the guests willing to combine their Spanish learning with activities.
Bart Peter
Not a language instructor, but the person you are in touch with before arriving. When visiting the ANDERS LANGUAGES® residences, he always tries to join our guests during breakfast, lunch or dinner for some informal conversation: a good way for you to exercise your language skills with a person who does not adapt his speaking...
Christina
Studied Humanities at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Sevilla, with a specialization in teaching Spanish to foreigners. A native of the sunny Canary Islands whose relaxed but professional approach will make you feel very comfortable when learning Spanish. Christina teaches at the ANDERS LANGUAGES® Spain residence.
Erika
Or Erikita, to her friends. MA in Spanish as a second language from Universidad Internacional and a world citizen. Has lived in Germany and the US. With ANDERS LANGUAGES® since our starting days (1998).
Doña Mari & Cecilia
Not language instructors but also very important. They are our cook and cleaning lady at the Mexico Cuernavaca immersion residence. They will take care of you, cater to your needs and make you feel at home.
